JENNY GOSSELL spent her childhood dreaming that she’d publish books full of fantastical adventures. Then her teen years brought more real-life adventure than she’d bargained for–from the depths of the pandemic and a Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, to the heights of winning a national Bible Quizzing championship and traveling across the world. Now that she can see how all those experiences prepared her for adulthood, she writes stories to give today’s teens rest, encouragement, and a return to magic in their own journeys toward maturity.

Jenny is a founding graduate of the Author Conservatory and has published short works such as “People of the Rain” (in the Voices of the Future Volume 1 anthology) and Kaylin and the Monster of the Night Forest (on Substack). She has connected extensively with teen readers as a teacher’s assistant at The Young Writer and as a youth ministry mentor.

When she’s not writing, you can find Jenny spending time with her husband and daughter, coaching a Bible Quizzing team, jamming to epic music, baking sugar-free desserts, or exploring her hometown of Kansas City.
